The ground rules.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Study Chinese app and website at studychinese.id (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1.Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

2.Your account

• Provide accurate information when you sign up and keep your credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs on your account.
• Tell us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use.

3.Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Violate any law or the rights of others.
• Copy, sell, or redistribute our content without permission.
• Disrupt, hack, or place excessive load on our systems.
• Use bots, scraping, or other automated means without our consent.
• Misuse social features or Jade Class to harm other users.

4.Content & intellectual property

All learning materials, vocabulary, designs, the Bao mascot, and code within the Service belong to Study Chinese or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial learning.

Any content you submit (such as a username) remains yours, but you grant us permission to display and process it to the extent necessary to operate the Service.

5.Social login

You can sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook. Use of those logins is also subject to each provider's own terms. See our Privacy Policy for the data we receive.

6.Jade Class & paid features

Some features, such as Jade Class and RMB purchases, may be paid and will come with their own terms, pricing, and payment and refund policies, shown to you before you buy. Those additional terms become part of these Terms.

7.Early-stage service

The Service is still under active development and early access. Features may change, be added, or be discontinued at any time, and occasional disruptions may occur. We work to preserve your learning progress, but we recommend you do not rely on it as your only record.

8.Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for your particular purpose.

9.Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Study Chinese is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10.Suspension & termination

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account through the Data deletion page.

11.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes, and the "in effect starting" date above will be updated. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the new Terms.

12.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
